About Us

A Small Family-Run Business

We prioritise communication about your project and ensure we understand what works for you.

Ron, our founding director established the company back in 2006 so that he could support architects who reached out with fire safety-related enquiries.  Ron retired from managing the Fire Engineering Team of Hampshire Fire Rescue and Service (now Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service), in 2019 and since then he has developed the business with robust quality control systems so that the products and services we offer consistently meet our clients' needs.

Our Values

Coming from a fire service background we do not compromise on safety. Safe evacuation from premises, and early warning of fire, are key to successful design, and we support architects and homeowners in developing designs which can meet current standards, providing clear and practical advice when improvements are required.

Our strength comes from Ron's wide knowledge of legislation, guidance and procedures, and management of fire safety in, often complex, scenarios.  Ron is most often involved in complex and historical buildings as these can require a deeper understanding of the legislation and its application.

Bringing On New Fire Engineers

Heather is our new Fire Engineer, after 10 years as an operational firefighter, and following the birth of her child, Heather decided to leave operational firefighting and join the family business.  She is now enjoying making use of her honours Engineering Degree from Warwick University and applying her analytical mind to the complex problems of matching the needs of clients to the standards set out in legislation and associated guidance.  Just a year into working as a Fire Engineer, Heather completed her advanced L4 Fire Risk Assessment course with the FPA and her L4 Diploma in Fire Safety with Xact. Heather is enjoying the challenge of the less complex Fire Strategy Reports while carrying out Fire Risk Assessments for both simple and complex premises.
