The Guildhall, originally known as the Town Hall, was completed in 1890 and stands today as a premier concert and conference venue. It also houses some of Portsmouth’s most historic artefacts, including the city’s Civic Plate and the Council Chamber.
To ensure the ongoing safety and efficient management of this historic building, a comprehensive Retrospective Fire Strategy was developed, accompanied by a detailed Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Drawings. These measures are crucial for the effective management of events to ensure that safe exit capacities are bit exceeded.
Overlooking Southampton’s Royal Pier, The Bugle is a charming townhouse venue primarily used for weddings. To safely accommodate guests during formal functions, TecFire was commissioned to develop, a comprehensive Retrospective Fire Strategy. This document identified the existing passive and active fire safety systems that were in place in the existing building and identified where changes have been made that contravened requirements as identified in the Fire Safety Order (FSO), together with recommendations for their remediation.
This was followed by a design Fire Strategy to support renovation work to increase the capacity figures, making sure that the proposed changes were safely and legally accommodate the required number of guests.
