The Ambassadors Theatre, opened on June 5, 1913, celebrates its 110th anniversary this year. Originally designed as an intimate, smaller theatre, it was designated as a Grade II listed building by English Heritage in March 1973.
Our role involved collaborating closely with the architects to develop a comprehensive RIBA Design Fire Strategy. During the construction phase, we provided ongoing support to ensure that the historic character of the theatre was preserved while meeting contemporary fire safety and accessibility standards.
The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), renowned as the world’s leading museum of art and design, boasts collections of unparalleled scope and diversity. Established to make art accessible to all and to inspire British designers and manufacturers, the V&A's collections span over 2,000 years of human creativity in nearly every medium and from many cultures.
Our task was to ensure that the redesign of the Gilbert Galleries adhered to the latest fire safety and accessibility standards, while also integrating the V&A’s existing fire and security strategies. This approach allowed us to maintain the museum's commitment to safety without compromising its rich heritage and the integrity of its collections.
